When Rorie and Josie were in the NICU, we received two small stuffed bears. Every night, it was scary and painful to leave the girls’ sides. Having these bears to hold gave us comfort. Now, we try to incorporate the bears into family photos as a tangible reminder of the girls’ role in our family.
This year, we decided to donate a basket of stuffed animals so that other parents can have the same comfort. Rorie and Josie’s little brother (Finn) was excited to help pick the animals! We hope that these small items can make a difference for other parents.
